Hydrogen boiler
Burning hydrogen (H2) is extremely environmentally friendly. Its combustion does not produce CO2, but clean water.
For all Bosch industrial boilers in the medium and large power range, we offer solutions for using up to 100% hydrogen.
If the available amount of hydrogen fluctuates or is insufficient, hydrogen can be used to supplement, for example, natural gas in multi-fuel burners to generate process steam or hot water.
We can also supply all conventional Bosch industrial boilers in an “H2-ready” version. This facilitates subsequent conversion to hydrogen.
Hydrogen: a clean alternative
The principle is as ingenious as it is simple. All you have to do is split water molecules by electrolysis into oxygen and hydrogen and combine them back by combustion. Then, instead of CO2 as a combustion gas, water vapor will be produced. Hydrogen as an energy-bearing agent and its use as a primary energy carrier for heat-generating equipment for technological purposes seems at first glance to be a clever and far-sighted move.
